1、新生应在进入中国境内三十天内办理长期居留许可。居留许可到期前一个月向我校申请延期。
1. New students should apply for a long-term residencepermit within 30 days after entering China. An extension can beapplied to our school one month before the expiry of the residencepermit.
2、留学生在居留许可有效期内可以自由往返于中国和国籍国，不需要再申请其他签证，但离境前必须到留学生事务办公室登记备案。
2. International students can freely travel betweenChina and the country of nationality during the validity period ofthe residence permit without the application for other visas, butthey must register at the International Student Affairs Office beforeleaving.
3、留学生家属如需来华陪读，应经我校同意后向我驻外使（领）馆申请签证。留学生家属可持我驻外使（领）馆盖章的亲属关系证明、中文翻译件，及健康证明申请居留许可（陪读）。家属的陪读居留许可不能超过留学生居留许可有效期。
3. If the family members of international students needto come to China to accompany them, they should apply for a visa toour embassy (consulate) abroad with the consent of our school. Thefamily members of international students can apply for a residencepermit (student dependent) with the certificate of kinship stamped byour embassy (consulate) abroad, a Chinese translation of it, and ahealth certificate. The permit for accompanying the family memberscannot exceed the validity period of the residence permit forinternational students.
4、护照首页、各类签证、居留许可、均不得涂改、损坏，违者将受到处罚。
4. The home page of the passport, all kinds of visas,and residence permits shall not be altered or damaged, or theviolators will be punished.
5、护照应妥善保管，如有遗失必须立即向学生事务办公室老师报告。留学生本人需持学校开具的遗失证明到辖区派出所挂失，再到武汉市公安局出入境管理局换取《遗失证明》，随后才可到该国驻华使（领）馆申领新的护照。新护照核发后，需在一个月内到武汉市出入境管理局登记备案并重新办理居留许可。
5. The passport should be kept properly. If it is lost,you should report to the teacher of the Student Affairs Officeimmediately. International students themselves alsoneed to report the loss at the police stationof the jurisdiction with the loss certificate issued by the school,and then exchange the "Loss Certificate" at the WuhanBureau of Immigration. After that, the application for a new passportat the embassy (consulate) of the country in China is allowed. It isnecessary to register with the Wuhan Bureau of Immigration within onemonth after the issue of new passport and re-apply for a residencepermit.
6、办理居留许可各阶段所需费用如下：
（1）体检费：300元；认证费（只认证不检查）：70元；
（2）一年及一年以下居留许可费：400元；
（3）一年以上，三年以下居留许可费：800元；
（4）居留许可事项变更费：200元。
学校学历生最多一次办理一个学年的居留许可。学生办理新的一年的签证，需提供保险购买清单。
6. The fees required for applying the residence permitare as follows:
(1) Physical examination fee: 300 yuan; Certificationfee (only certification without inspection): 70 yuan;
(2) Residence permit fee of one year or less: 400 yuan;
(3) Residence permit fee for more than one year and lessthan three years: 800 yuan;
(4) Residence permit change fee: 200 yuan.
Students with academic qualifications can apply for aresidence permit for up to one academic year at a time. Students arerequired to provide a list of insurance purchases for the new year'svisa.
7、留学生应该认真核查自己居留许可或签证的有效期并务必在有效期终止前7日内到学生事务办公室申请延期。居留许可办理的有效期最短期限为6个月，留学生须足额缴纳学费。根据我国出入境管理局，外国人非法居留一天罚款500元，且罚款无上限。情节严重者，将被采取行政拘留等行政强制措施。
7. International students should carefully check thevalidity period of their residence permit or visa and be sure toapply for an extension at the Student Affairs Office within 7 daysbefore the expiration of the validity period. The minimum validityperiod of the residence permit is 6 months, and internationalstudents must pay the tuition fee in full. According to China'sBureau of Immigration, foreigners are fined 500 yuan for illegallystaying for one day, and the fine is unlimited. Where thecircumstances are serious, administrative coercive measures such asadministrative detention will be taken.
8、特殊情况
（1）若留学生护照即将过期，请自行安排时间及时更新护照。如果因为护照更换而导致居留许可过期的，也将受到出入境管理法规的处罚。更换护照需要较长时间的，请在护照过期前两个月到610办公室登记备案，以便向出入境管理局提出减免处罚申请。
（2）无法足额缴纳学费的留学生，我校只能给予1个月的短期停留签证，该类型签证只能办理一次，且不能超过1个月。在此签证有效期内，留学生缴足学费后可以再次申请转为居留许可。
8. Special circumstances
(1) If the passport of international student is about toexpire, please arrange your own time to update your passport in atimely manner. If the residence permit expires due to the replacementof the passport, it will also be punished by the immigrationregulations. If it takes a long time to change your passport, pleaseregister at the 610 office two months before the passport expires inorder to apply to the Bureau of Immigration for penalty reduction.
(2) For international students who cannot pay thetuition fee in full, our school can only give a short-stay visa of 1month. This type of visa can only be processed once, and it cannotexceed 1 month. During the valid period of this visa, internationalstudents can apply for a residence permit again after paying the fulltuition fee.
