The sudden outbreak of new coronavirus made this winter so special and long. You have been staying with us on campus for over a month.
My students, in this special winter, we share the same sorrows and joys, and walk in the same direction. We mourn together, for those guys tortured by the disease, for the angel in white who have sacrificed unfortunately. We are moved together, for the countermarch people from all walks of life, for the help coming from all directions. Let’s guard together, for our common homeland ZUEL, for the beloved ground under our feet. We went through the initial panic and the quiet response together. We forged an indelible relationship with the city of Wuhan in this unforgettable winter.
My students, in this special winter, we work together to overcome the difficulties. I believe you are also clear that although the virus blocks the distance in space, it could never block our emotional connection. Where you could see or not, our teachers are trying every possible way to take online courses, transfer professional materials, and provide study tutoring; our counselors care about your physical health and study. Our security personnel are guarding the school gates and patrolling the campus 24 hours to protect everyone's safety. Our logistics personnel are doing their best to ensure and optimize the meals we eat every day and repeatedly disinfect throughout the campus. Our hospital staff guard our students and teachers in school, also go to the isolation point to care for the epidemic patients. Our alumni at home and abroad, set up special funds, raised and donated epidemic prevention materials, participated in various voluntary services to give back to society. My students, as Dr. Zhang Wenhong said, it is not only isolation, but also fighting. You are committed to the city, stay in your dormitory with a high degree of self-discipline, and with the people across the country who have closed their doors, swore to suffocate the virus!
My students, spring has arrived, seize the day and live up to it. Under the strong leadership of the party and the government, under the united struggle of the people across the country, the epidemic prevention and control has achieved staged results. We must continue to strengthen our confidence and strong fighting spirit to win this war together! In those days when we stay in the dormitory and wait for the beginning of school, you could devote yourselves to the study with more enthusiasm than before. After this epidemic, I believe that everyone should have a deeper understanding the promise To serve the community with what I’ve learned and “To serve my country with what I've learned”. You could take a 120,000-point higher enthusiasm to “cloud care” your family, teachers and friends, to be kind and warm to the people around you in your dormitory. After this epidemic, everyone should have more deeply felt the preciousness of family and friendship. You could take a 120,000-point higher enthusiasm to exercise and understand more about the meaning of a healthy body is the base of doing everything”. After this epidemic, I believe that you could take a 120,000-point higher enthusiasm to cherish life than before. I believe that everyone should have experienced the beauty of daily little luck more deeply.
No winter is insurmountable, and no spring will not come. My students, at this crucial moment when the spring breeze is steep and the twilight is breaking, please continue to strengthen your mind and encourage each other to suffocating the virus and win the war together. Our Wuhan will be reborn like a Phoenix from the ashes.
