Notice for 2018-2019 Overseas Students’ Scholarship （partial scholarship）
at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law
为吸引世界各国优秀学生来我校学习，扩大留学生规模和改善留学生层次，提高学校国际办学能力，提升学校国际化水平，中南财经政法大学设立“来华留学生奖学金”。
With the aim of attracting outstanding students from around the world, increasing the number and improving the quality of international students at our school and increasing our capacity for international operation and our level of internationalization, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law has established an overseas students’ scholarship.
资助类别：来华留学生奖学金资助优秀外国学生来校攻读学士、硕士和博士学位。
Types of Recipients: The overseas students’ scholarship will support outstanding international students to apply for Bachelor, Master and Doctor’s degrees at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.
资助期限：奖学金资助期限包括专业学习的期限，详见下表：

资助内容和标准：
部分奖学金
●免交注册费、学费
●提供免费校内住宿（留学生公寓双人间标准）：标准为750元/月；
●提供门诊医疗服务和来华留学生综合医疗保险；
来华留学生平安保险：800元人民币/年
Partial scholarship
●Registration and tuition are free of charge;
●Free boarding (standard double room in international student dormitory): at cost standard of RMB 750 Yuan/month;
●Clinic service and general medical insurance for overseas students;
Life safety insurance for overseas students: RMB 800 Yuan/year.
申请途径和时间
申请人直接向中南财经政法大学国际教育学院申请来华留学生奖学金，按照学校规定于2018年10月8日前在线申请。
Method and Time
The applicant will directly apply for the overseas student scholarship at International Education School, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law directly, and apply online before October 8th,2018. .
申请人基本条件
1. 申请人应是具有外国国籍、持外国普通护照的外籍公民，品行端正，对华友好，无违法犯罪记录。
2. 申请中南财经政法大学来华留学生奖学金来校攻读学士学位的学生，申请时汉语水平应达到HSK4级以上（含4级），中学成绩优良。
3. 申请中南财经政法大学来华留学生奖学金来校攻读中文授课研究生学历的学生，申请时汉语水平应达到HSK5级以上（含5级），大学成绩良好，学分绩点达到3.0以上（含3.0）。
4. 申请中南财经政法大学来华留学生奖学金来校攻读英文授课研究生学历的学生，申请时英语水平应达到雅思6分以上（含6分）或托福75分以上（含75分），大学成绩良好，学分绩点达到3.0以上（含3.0）。母语为英语的申请人可以不用提交雅思或托福成绩。
Basic Criteria of Applicant
1. The applicant must be a holder of a foreign passport, have outstanding character, have interest in China, and have no criminal record.
2. Students applying for the scholarship with the purpose of Bachelor’s degree must be qualified for HSK Level 4 or above in Chinese language skills, and have good academic performance in high school.
3. Students applying for the scholarship with the purpose of graduate studies in a program taught in Chinese must be qualified for HSK Level 5 or above in Chinese language skills, and have good academic performance in university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
4. Students applying for the scholarship with the purpose of graduate studies in a program taught in English shall be qualified for IELTS 6 or above, or TOFEL 75 or above, and have good performance in university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above. Students whose native language is English are not required to provide IELTS or TOFEL grades.

第五步：完整填写相关内容，按要求上传相应申请资料，提交电子报名信息。

Application Procedure
Login Online Application：
Step One: Type in online application website：http://iesmis.zuel.edu.cn
Step Two: Register online，*is the necessary information
Step Three: Activate the mailbox, click on the registration activation link
Step Four: Applying online,
a. choose your program and click on “next”
b. choose your type and click on “next
c. choose “department、major、teaching language” and click on “Apply”
Step Five: Complete the information, upload all the required documents and
submit your application.
★Please make sure all information and documents are true and valid.
Uncompleted application would be rejected.
需上传申请材料（无需纸质材料）
1.护照需为清晰、完整的彩色扫描件，内容包括信息页及其上一页
2.姓名必须严格按照护照上填写，不得缩写，不得省略中间名。姓或名为空的，可以留空或者填写“-”“.”。
3.在华的申请者需要提交有效签证的彩色扫描件和最近一次入境章所在页面彩色扫描件。
4.对于未满18岁的申请者，须提交法定监护人材料如监护人证件、收入证明、监护委托书等（学生任意上传一样即可）。
5.所有申请者需如实填写从高中至今的所有学习经历和工作经历，年份之间不得有空缺。（韩国学生需填写服兵役情况）
6.申请者提交的最高学历证明必须为毕业证书或学位证书的扫描件（任何相关证明无法作为申请者的最高学历证明，必须为毕业证书或学位证书）如尚未取得，请提交前置学历证书。
7.非英文的学历证明要提交原件+经公证的中文或英文的译文。
8.申请者的最后学历请填写申请者的前置最高学历。
9.学习成绩单。中英文以外文本须附经公证的中文或英文的译文。
10.体检证明。所有申请者须提交《外国人体格检查表》复印件（原件自行保存，可登录http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina 或 http://www.campuschina.org 下载，须英文填写）。申请人应严格按照《外国人体格检查表》中要求的项目进行检查。缺项、未贴有本人照片或照片上未盖骑缝章、无医师和医院签字盖章的《外国人体格检查表》无效。鉴于检查结果有效期为6个月，请申请人据此确定本人进行体检的时间；
11.语言证明。本科生提交HSK4，硕士、博士生中文授课项目需提交HSK4级以上证书；英文授课项目需提交托福75或雅思6分相关证书。申请英文授课项目：母语或官方语言为英语的申请者可不用提交语言证明；前置学位为英文授课的申请者可用相关证明代替语言证明。
12.推荐信。申请攻读硕士、博士学位者和申请作为高级、普通进修生来华学习者，须提交两名教授的推荐信，用中文或英文书写。
13.来华学习或研究计划。用中文或英文书写。普通进修生和硕士生不少于1500字，博士研究生和高级进修生不少于2500字。
Application Documents to Be Uploaded (No paper material is required)
1. The color scanned passport, including the information page and its previous page, should be as clear and complete.
2. The name must be the same as that in the passport.Abbreviations or omissions of the middle name are not allowed. If there is no family name or first name, please leave it with a blank, ‘-’ or ‘.’.
3. Applicants already in China mustsubmit color scanned visa within the validity period with the latest entry stamp.
4. Applicants under the age ofmustsubmitvalid documents of legal guardians, such as ID card, certificate of income and letter of guardianship. (Either one is acceptable)
5. Applicants must fill in all the study and work experiences from high school so far without gaps. (Korean applicants should list the period of military service)
6. Applicants must submit either scanned diploma or certificate of the highest degree. If the degree certificate is not acquired yet, the previously acquired academic certificate must be submitted. (Any other relevant documents are unacceptable)
7. If the academic certificate is non-English, the original must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
8. The highest level of education must be filled in the previously acquired degree.
9. Academic transcripts (written in Chinese or English); transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
10. Applicants must submit Foreigner Physical Examination Form (photocopy) written in English. (downloaded from http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or http://www.campuschina.org ) The physical examinations must cover all of the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months.
11. Language requirement.
For Chinese-taught programs: Undergraduates should submit HSK 4 Certificate; master's students and doctoral students should submit certificate above HSK 4.
For English-taught programs: TOEFL: 75 or IELTS: 6.0.
Applicants whose native language or official language is English don't need to submit certification of language proficiency; applicants whose previous degree programs are taught in English may use relevant documents to certify the language proficiency.
12. Recommendation letters (written in Chinese or English). Applicants for the graduate programs, and senior and common scholar programs must submit two recommendation letters signed by professors.
13. A Study Plan or Research Proposal (written in Chinese or English). This should be a minimum of 1500 words for common scholars and master's students, 2500 words for senior scholars and doctoral students.
国际教育学院对申请人的申请资料进行初步审核后，将合格的申请资料报送学校来华留学生奖学金评审委员会，由评审委员会决定是否授予奖学金以及奖学金类型。国际教育学院10月底将奖学金评审结果通知申请人。
International Education School will conduct a preliminary review of application materials, and provide qualified materials to the school’s Review Committee for Overseas Student Scholarship. The committee shall decide whether the student is qualified for which type scholarship, and the type of scholarship. At the end of October , International Education School will generally notify the applicant of the review results.
