晚会于当晚7时30分开始,容纳400人的礼堂坐无虚席,另有200多名观众在加座上观看演出。晚会组织者非常贴心地给每位入场观众准备了茶水和中秋月饼,晚会上既有中国传统歌舞,也有比较时尚的江南模式舞蹈、时装走秀等,既展示了中国传统文化,也展现了当代中国青年蓬勃向上的精神面貌,现场气氛非常热烈,晚会获得了观众的一致好评和赞赏。
On the evening of Sept 27th, 2012, the annual Stony Brook University Mid-Autumn Festival was held in Student Activity Center Auditorium. This event was co-organized by Chinese Literature Club (CLC), Global China Connection at Stony Brook (GCC), and Confucius Institute at Stony Brook University (CISBU). More than 600 students and faculty members attended this event and celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival. Deputy Director Juan Huang, Assistant Director Annalisa Monthos both attended and addressed the event, together with other faculty and staff of CISBU.
The Festival started at 7:30 pm, the auditorium was occupied fully with about 200 audiences sitting on the extra seats. The organizers provided everyone with tea and moon cake. Traditional Chinese singing and dancing, the recent popular Gangnam Style dancing, catwalk shows and so on were performed. Therefore both the traditional Chinese culture and the modern image of the thriving Chinese youth were conveyed. The atmosphere was fantastic and the Festival received tremendous responses from audiences.
